2024 OH OL Marc Nave (Kentucky Verbal)

Birm also says it’s Seaton or bust in the ‘24 OL class and the coaching staff is expecting all OL outside of Jones to be back next season, which means they’ll likely only add one more, either Seaton or through the portal.
Honestly that is reassuring. I think we dropped a spot in a good way with Nave. Here comes my (probably) unpopular take at OL right now:

Luke Montgomery is so talented and athletic he can play LT and be dominant for 2-3 years. Our interior OL is set. Padilla will be a 3-4 year starter in the interior that fans don't appreciate enough after he puts on 10-15 good pounds, kid is going to be a stalwart in our interior. Vimahi is ready once Jones is gone after this year, plus Cutler should contribute at IOL. Tegra can be a dominant RT or IOL to replace Fryar or Jones. Hinzman is a stud at center and will be back. Siereveld is going to be a great one inside once he gets proper coaching. All that is possibly lacking is a dominant LT like we had in PJ Sr, but most teams have the same problem.

But to the point of the thread in terms of '24 class of OL, I actually like our class so far if we can add one more guy like Seaton. Ian Moore is a really great OL that we forget about and he can slot at OT or OG, kid is probably a top 10 OL in the nation regardless of where he ends up. The Armstrong twins are criminally underrated imo and will be like the Pouncey twins in dominance and manning two OL spots that we don't have to worry about after they get the nutrition and S&C to match their talent and work ethic. Deontae could turn into an elite LT imo...we just need one more solid OT prospect to be confident moving forward.

To tie an end on this one though, Nave didn't have a spot imo. And I wouldn't be surprised to see him commit to a MAC school, bottom-tier B1G team or something in between. No negativity or judgment on the kid, I just think that is where he is right now. I will root for him wherever he ends up.

I thought Vimahi was done after this season due to eligibility?
And I also think that we're forgetting about George Fitzpatrick at OT. I can see him being the reason that Tshabola is pushed inside(which could be his best position). I know many will talk about the loss of Brandon Baker, and other high ranked OTs, but if OSU is able to hit the portal earlier than this past season, I can see them landing another big time OL if one is needed.
Best of luck to Nave, but he was always a reach, but he didn't work hard enough on his craft like the twins have. Like you said, those 2 are criminally underrated. And they've put in extensive work in their HS careers to EARN OSU offers.

on the official site Vimahi is listed as a fifth year Senior, but has two years of eligibility left.
I would assume he can be in the mix for playing time in 2024.

If that's the case, than that definitely makes losing Nave an easy pill to swallow.
IOL is pretty loaded then. OT... not so much

this is interdasting on 11W forums......

I know the expectation was for Marc Nave to go to a smaller MAC-level school after his decommitment.

247's Blair Angulo says Georgia, Auburn, Oklahoma, and South Carolina are all reaching out to Nave right now.

Will be interesting to see where Nave ends up - hope he can land on his feet somewhere.

I thought he had 1-2 years left, thanks for digging that up. Vimahi will likely start next year after M Jones departs. We have a ton of depth in the IOL, so even if this wasn't the coaches decision I am not worried whatsoever. As @pnuts34 said, OT is the real area of concern to address.
