OH DB Monsanna Torbert (Indiana Decommit, ttun Verbal)

And most, if not all, could be titles in the 'whatever became of ...' discussion, no?

Jordan Hicks was a 3rd round pick and played 10 years in the NFL, but his college career was pretty meh and injury plagued until he was 2nd team all Big 12 in his 5th season.

Spencer Ware only rushed for 1,250 yards in his whole college career. He did get drafted in the 6th round and played a few years in the NFL.

Latwan Anderson never even played D1 college football and was dismissed from Miami during his freshmen year for missing track meets and skipping exams. He has lived a troubled life and has been in prison since 2016.

Braylon Heard only rushed for 830 yards in his college career between Nebraska and Kentucky.

Matt James tragically passed away accidentally falling from a balcony during spring break the spring before he was supposed to join Notre Dame.

Losing a fringe top 100 recruit isn't even close to even the worst thing that's happened in recruiting either.

This guy wasn't around in 2010 when there were 6 top 100 players in the state and 5 of them went not to Ohio State

Jordan Hicks - Texas
Spencer Ware - LSU
Latwan Anderson - Miami
Matt James - Notre Dame
Braylon Heard - Nebraska
And then you could go down the list to Ben Martin and that whole class that seemed catastrophic to miss. Whoever BuckeyeNation is must have forgot some of those times or wasn't around for them. Those misses were also compounded by the fact that our national recruiting was nowhere near what it is now, so losing an Ohio guy was way more of an issue than it is now (ignoring that we're recruiting Ohio better than ever and getting almost every in state guy we want).

I really like Torbert but it's way too early to lose much sleep over this one. Walt is going to get his.
