If it had been my daughter, I don't think I would have killed the guy. But he would have ended up with no fingers on his hands, and his sexual organs would be working their way through his digestive tract.

The punishment should fit the crime. Anyone molesting a child should be prevented from ever doing it again, and a jail sentence unfortunately doesn't accomplish that.

One of my favorite was that lady that shot that molester in the balls with a shot gun in Newport KY while he was sitting in his car.

She got off because the dude had blown about 6 boys in the neighborhood for cash.

I might not have gutted him like a carp like that, but I sure as hell would NEVER convict the father that stabbed him if I was sitting on the jury.

I have a convicted sexual preditor that lives up the street because the sorry fuck cannot keep a job. He is 35 and lives with his parents (the parent is a lawyer BTW surprise surprise).

I catch that dude anywhere near my 2 girls and he is going to be a pheasant under glass. He got busted for dressing up some 15 year old boys in diapers, taking pictures and selling them on the internet.

I would beat him and torture him within an inch of his life... and leave him wondering when I'll be back to finish the job.

of course saying this and doing this are two completely different things and I hope to god that I never have to find out exactly what I would do. It's tough being a parent when there is so many sick, perverted assholes out there.

Am I the only one who thinks the lawyer and/or his wife is full of shit? We are talking about his 2 year old daughter. How in the hell does a 2 year old end up alone with this guy, and then how does a 2 year old tell the story to the Mom later? Too much of this story doesn't make any sense. I can't even fathom what would make a sicko sexually attracted to a 2 year old, but I would think there would be some physical evidence of molestation if he had done anything.

FAIRFIELD, Connecticut (AP) -- Police have concluded that a 2-year-old girl was not molested by a neighbor whom the girl's father is accused of stabbing to death in rage, a police official said Thursday.

Jonathon Edington, a 29-year-old attorney from Fairfield, is charged with killing Barry James on August 28 after his wife told him their daughter had indicated James touched her inappropriately "in the starry night," police said.

Edington pleaded not guilty last week. (Full story)

"We're confident this 2-year-old was not molested," said Capt. Gary MacNamara. "We are confident in our investigation that Mr. Edington did in fact kill Mr. James. We are as confident in our investigation that Mr. James did not molest the Edingtons' daughter."

MacNamara confirmed that investigators interviewed the girl but declined to release further details.

MacNamara also would not comment on whether the girl's mother would be charged. A molestation complaint was filed against James shortly after he was killed.

A telephone message left Thursday for Edington's attorney, Andrew Bowman, was not returned.

"The family of Barry James is adamant that Barry James was not a child molester, would never have harmed that child," Richard Meehan, the family's attorney, said Tuesday. "We fully anticipated and expected there would be nothing to corroborate this. I believe the complaint is untrue."

According to a police report describing the mother's account, the girl told her mother about the alleged molestation while the family was visiting relatives in Rhode Island.

The girl "explained that she did not want to go home because of Barry," police said in the report. When her mother asked her to explain, the girl said "that Barry puts it on her belly and her nose," the report said. When her mother asked her when James does this, she replied, "He comes to me in the starry nights."

Police say that after Edington's wife told him what their daughter said, Edington climbed through James' bedroom window and repeatedly stabbed him.

Two issues here. First is one of guilt. The lawyer could not have known that for certain, so he was wrong.

But if he somehow could know it for certain - still can't give him a pass. But I share his urge and it is a lot closer to involuntary manslaughter than murder one in my book. I read far too many stories of child abuse commited by repeat offenders to comfortably leave my daughers molestor to the system.
