Official Super Bowl thread....

cry me a river jax.

You guys are the ones crying . I'm enjoying the shit out of my team winning the Super Bowl.

In the week leading up to this game, I wasn't sure who I was gonna root for, b/c I liked your QB/RB, but felt Seattle had not been given nearly enough respect all year. Some of us hated the crappy calls b/c they were crappy calls, sorry to burst your bubble/ego

Did you spen this much time crying about officiating in the Denver/NE game or when the single worst call in post season history nearly cost the Steelers the Indy game? Sounds like a Cryami fan hard at work to me.

please explain... this concept wasn't covered all game long (nor the pittsburgh endzone shown on TV all game... the opposite end zone was surprisingly not filled with terrible towels, something I expected).

Whats to explain? The Steeler fans travel better than any fans in the NFL. I've seen it first hand on multiple occasions in 3 different cities. Where did I lose you?

Great day to be a Steeler fan knowing our success eats at classless Bengal and Browns fans like it does.

I've always found that classy fans don't take pointless shots at their rivals when they win, but you know that's just my own crazy point of view.

I grew up as a Browns fan, but I could care less that the Steelers won. I'm proud that Ben joins the few men on the planet that have quaterbacked a team to victory in the Super Bowl.

Sad day for football when a classless team with millions of bandwagon fans wins a championship.

Yes the Steelers have bandwagon fans like everybody else. I don't like them either but that won't take away from me for enjoying this win. The Pittsburgh did lead the league this season in ratings when it comes to watching the home team. I believe they had the highest ratings since Green Bay in 1997. Fuck I can remember during the 6-10 season two years ago when Steeler fans took over away games against Denver, Seattle, and San Francisco. You are right there are Steeler bandwagon fans, just like what Ohio State had after the 2002 season.

Blah.
This would mean more if the Browns ever decide they want to pose a threat to the division. Give Cleveland fans even the slightest taste of winning, and they travel as well as any team in the league.

Congrats to the Steelers and Cowher. I think he is often over the top in fawning over the Rooneys, especially considering his track record, but he relates to the players. Ward put the team on his back, again.

I wish we could have seen a classic battle between two outstanding teams who play the game the right way (defensive powerhouses). Instead the mostly solid play by the steelers and inconsistent play by Seattle was greatly overshadowed by game-changing calls.

what was there to complain about? I'm not sure there was a bad call in seattle's favor all day.

no, b/c that was one call, not a game's worth. no, b/c I was in the schott (I thought it was a horrendous call as well tho when I saw it that night).

Well if anyone would know what it takes to have their stadium taken over by Steeler fans it would be a Bengal fan right?

Uh, I went to one Steeler and Bengals game during the Achilles era and the Steelers had the game won with 6 minutes to go and almost the entire crowd was gone...

This idea that Steeler fans take over Bengal games is just a figment of sportswriters imagination.

Guess you missed the ones taking shots at us huh?

Responding to Bengal and Brown fans who want to cry about a game their team wasn't even in because they hate the Steelers so much is just my crazy point of view.

I would hardly call Browns fans classless for if there are many left, all of us have at least one thing that qualifies as class which is loyalty. Congrats on your pseudo win by the way, or should I congratulate the officiating crew...

agreed, as a bengals fan, I have always said, Browns fans may be dumb, but you wont find a more loyal bunch in the league.
