Official Opt-Out Thread 2021-2022 Bowl Season

It’s what we are about making pros, we aren’t in this for old Alma mater do or die. I think the singing of ‘Carmen Ohio’ can be a tradition that should be put away as a relic of an ancient and innocent time. tOSU and the players have always been in a symbiotic relationship and some think it is a parasitic relationship. It is life as a football factory which finally everyone involved in has acknowledged save Dabo the hypocrite.

This is nothing new or unexpected. Unless they are playing for a national championship or hoping to improve their draft ranking, no reason to risk it for draft eligible players. They owe us nothing and I wish them nothing but the best as they pursue their professional careers.
Oh, i agree. I'm not mad at the players one bit. Hell, I wouldn't be mad at them if they opted out the minute it becomes apparent a NC isn't in the cards. It is what it is. It's the smart move when life changing money is on the line. I don't like it...it just saddens me that the sport i used to love above all is changing. I get it, just selfishly as a fan it sucks and it's never gonna be the same.
Feels like a pre-Spring Spring game almost. Getting a glimpse of next year's team this year
Pretty much. But it sucks that we've reached a point where the Rose Bowl is now becoming simply a glorified exhibition lacking many of the best players. Oh well, I guess we'll always have the memories of Troy, Santonio and Teddy Ginn going ham one last time on ND in the Fiesta Bowl.

*Edit* Troy & Teddy we're back in 2006, but Santonio wasn't. So, obviously they don't apply, but you can bet Santonio would be sitting in today's environment.

And as I recall they abused the hell out of it so it broke way before it should.
