Holy crap...I just paid my GTA copy off at the campus gamestop on my way back from class, and they said they are gonna have about 600 pre orders. Looks like I'm in for a long wait....:mad2:

If I were to make an educated guess, I'd say that they just stay open, rather than closing and re-opening. But I don't know for sure. I've worked retail for about five years and that would make more sense to me than any other option..

(It's also what they did for the Halo 2 midnight release in Zanesville :tongue2:)

Wow. We had two pre-orders at FYE, and one of them was me.

Yeah I went down there before I went to work today. Turns out they are staying open the entire time. They said you can come any time after 6pm and get your final sales receite for the game. Once you have that you can go home and chill out on the couch or whatever. Then come in a quarter till midnight and stand in line. Because everyone will be paid for the line will move quick and you'll be in and out. Sounds cool to me as long as I don't get robbed. :biggrin:

Went into the Broad Street store at about 11:45pm and was at at 12:10am. There were probably about 200 people total. I recieved a gamestop card for 2 free songs from GTA IV. Also the game came with a free month of Xbox live gold membership which is nice. I think they ought to give away gold memberships more often with games. Gonna give the game a try now and hope to get some sleep sometime today. :biggrin:

I just played it at my friends house (picking mine up from BB in the AM) and, WOW, it is great.

We tried out the DeathMatch online and it was unreal. It is such a huge map with so many options for killing your opponent.

I didn't want to do much of the story line because I'm saving that for when I get my own copy, but from the little we did it was very good.

I love the Euphoria physics engine in this game! It was very realistic when I wrecked my car and flew through the windshield. :lol:

Well that didn't take long.....This game is already showing up on National news as something that parents don't want their kids to play lol

Today will be the longest workday ever :smash::smash::smash:

Only 7 1/2 hours left til I can leave work. Thank god I came in early so I can leave early.

This morning before I came into work I did some googling. The cheat codes are out and apparently when you access the internet in the game you can check out a website (I think it was www.whattheydontwantyoutoknow) and it is a map of all the "pigeons" guns, health and other stuff. Now THAT is cool. I just hope that isn't really a "cheat" code and won't affect your game score like regular cheats do.

I might just have to leave work early if the day drags any.
