According to the schedule our opener is England...could really set a tone, one way or another.

G is definitely the Group of Death this WC. Our draw wasn't bad, but we didn't get South Africa. It will definitely be a highly anticipated match.

I cannot wait. I am not very intimidated by England, to be honest.
I think the USA got a pretty good draw, really. Obviously I'd never underestimate our ability to not live up to our potential, but I think we can go through with wins over Algeria and Slovenia, though it would be typical USA to lose to one of them. The problem as far as I see it is that we won't win the group, which means if we get through we'll likely face Germany, meaning a Round of 16 exit.
Looking at the other groups:
A should provide an easy path to their usual Round of 16 exit for Mexico. I'm not sure that even Domenech could keep France from advancing either.
B is not a tough group either, even Maradona should be able to lead Argentina to winning the group. Should be an interesting fight for the second spot, I could see Nigeria sneaking away with it, actually.
D looks very tough. All of those teams are very dangerous, and three of them got past the group stage last WC. I'm very curious as to who will get the second spot.
E is a bore to me. Denmark and the Dutch should advance easily. Cameroon might make some noise, I guess.
F is laughable, none of those teams are that good. Shitty Italy and Slovakia should go through.
G is the group of death, I can't see Ivory Coast going through to be honest.
H is Spain and three horrific teams. What a crock.

Great draw for the USA........if you can't beat Algeria and Slovenia, you don't deserve to move on.
But the USA better beat England, or at least draw and pull the tiebreak, because nobody wants to face Germany in the round of 16. The winner of our group will likely get Serbia, and that's a much better matchup.
And Brazil and Ivory Coast should get through, Portugal has not been good lately while Ivory Coast has been great, plus playing in Africa is a big plus.
