Talk shit now but I'll talk to you in 2 years and we'll see if he's on the up and not on the down like the Browns still will be.

That't the problem with the Browns it's NOW NOW and not build for later. It happens every 3 years.
Plus I'm not a big Quinn fan. I just think he's going to be a good QB in the NFL. I heard shit from others when I said that about Drew Brees when he lost a couple big games.

You've got to be an 8 year old to think that. The only QB in this draft who uses his feet ANYWHERE NEAR close to Elway did at Stanford is Troy Smith (PSU and MSU TD throws were very Elway-esque)... but I would never come out in a post pimping Troy, trying to compare him to a legend (even if I do hate Elway and his damnable car dealerships...)
Brady Quinn runs NOTHING like John Elway. It's as apt a comparison as claiming Tony Hunt runs like Sweetness.

Why would the Browns take Quinn at #3 or #4? Teams 5-8 are not going to draft him. If the Browns take him, they had better trade down. Not that I think they should or would take him, but to take him that high is just plain stupid -you'd have to be eating king rabuf retard sandwiches to do that. If drafting Quinn is the plan, then someone is going to willing to trade up to get a Peterson, Thomas, or Johnson (whoever is available).

If drafting Quinn is the plan, the Browns aren't serious about getting better. But I think that goes without saying.

Talent-evaluation problems have dogged the Cleveland Browns for years. Has anything changed?
General Manager Phil Savage, preparing for his third draft, would like to think so. For what it's worth, he says all organizational departments finally are in sync.


The Browns will focus on linemen at the combine, but they also want to see Oklahoma running back Adrian Peterson, who they are projected to select with either the No. 3 or No. 4 pick in the first round, pending a coin flip with Tampa Bay.

Third or fourth overall pick? Browns find out this morning

INDIANAPOLIS ? The tie between the Cleveland Browns and Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the third and fourth draft positions will be broken by a coin flip today at 7:45 a.m.
Both clubs finished 4-12 with identical opponents' records (137-119-0) for a .535 strength-of-schedule percentage.

INDIANAPOLIS. - Charlie Frye was pretty much given the Browns' quarterback job last offseason.
General Manager Phil Savage dispatched Trent Dilfer to San Francisco and Frye was a starter in his second season.
Savage then said the team's goal was to get through a season with Frye playing 16 games, let him grow and not worry about the record.
The words this offseason, though, are much different.
Frye is the quarterback, Savage said, but only because ``he's played the most.''
