Could this be because, on the College Football timescale their fanbase skews younger, only remembering the recent good times vividly? I could argue that robs them collectively of needed perspective.

I'd say the problem lies more with the continued, close and constant interaction with Miami fans due to rivalries and location (in-state). I'd say it affects all 3 Florida schools to some degree (Florida, FSU and Miami).

LSU receiver Demetrius Byrd is pretty familiar with Washington by now after watching game tape over the last few days. But he is not impressed.

"Tell you the truth, he don't bring too much. He's just like another cornerback we're going against," Byrd said. "We're going to attack whoever is over there. If he's over there, we're going to attack him. They play defensive back, we're going to go after him."

To tell you the truth, he (Byrd) don't bring too much. Our corners have gone against All-Americans (Manningham) and top recruits (Williams), as well as stars on the cusp (Thomas) - to say the least, players with a much brighter future than this douchebag.
