UCONN over LSU in the finals is loking better by the minute. I'm going to the money store with my office pool.

Wooooohooooo....don't have to put up with their shit the rest of the tourney. Nothing better than Duke losing in the tourney. LSU was just too athletic for Duke. I told my brother Redick will probably cry at the end and I was right Redick crying like a bitch. Complain about the officiating when Thomas and Davis had 4 fouls each. That's all people do on here. Whether it is a Big Ten team or Ohio State or Duke.

i meant demolished as in he was blocked so badly he was thrown into the ground. i dotn think reddick had one shot that was inside 3 range. and i saw no bad calls on reddick. for once this game was fairly officiated. true there was some bad calls but they went both ways and for once the game was equal. dukes lucky to even be in this game at the end.

Everything you said was right on the money. LSU was by far the superior team. And Redick's behavior underscores his and Duke's poor sportsmanship--they always get the majority of the calls, yet they still cry when they don't get every single one. Good riddance to you, JJ and Duke!

IMO Redick could be the most overrated player in college basketball in the last 10 or so years.

Redick couldn't handle the athleticism of the LSU defenders. What is Redick going to do when he goes up against somebody like Ron Artest, Bruce Bowen, or Tayshaun Prince in the NBA. Hahaha...what am I saying. Redick is not going to be good enough to be guarded by those players.

um, how bout for the first time in a while... duke didn't get a whistle-heavy game? A tightly called game favors their finesse star.
I thought LSU would clamp down on Redick, and Baby would handle williams. Redick's a very good player, but if they let them play he can be shut down (MSU march 05).

On NBAdraft.net they had Tyrus Thomas as a lottery pick, and now, after having seen him play for the 1st time this year, I can see why. LSU is like a minor league NBA team-all tall, lean, skinny athletes (except for Big Baby, he is just a freak), who can't shoot, but can rebound and use their athleticism to block shots and play D (although they will unlearn that in the league). Props to LSU, the refs didn't buy the Dookies whining and flopping and called the game fairly. Last year Greg Paulus was quoted as saying that if Thad Matta had coached at a school where they had football when he was being recruited(Matta was still at XU), he would have committed there. After tonight, I am convinced the Bucks won't be saying what if about him....

SNG77 is a UNC fan... I'm the Duke fan.
Duke had plenty of opportunities to put this game away when they went on that run. They had plenty of opportunities to trade baskets (at least) down the stretch but came up empty. They lost because they couldn't step up and hit shots when they needed to. Part of that was because of LSU's defense, they were very aggressive all night, but Duke missed tons of open looks tonight. But I saw Redick, Nelson, Paulus, Williams, and McRoberts all miss lay-ups tonight, some multiple times. You can't expect to beat a good team when you do that.
The only complaints that I have about the officiating was that I saw Temple was holding JJ sometimes when he was running his curls and coming off screens. He had a lot of trouble separating. Other than that I thought the game was pretty fairly called. They let it be physical at both ends, so it was consistent at least, which is all that can be asked for.
