Exactly how was Huff a reach at #7 when he was the top rated db by virtually all scouting services? BN27 made the right call with Huff.
Just b/c he made the popular call before the season doesn't affect whether it was the right call after the season.

Was he the top rated db after the season? Debatable. I think Whitner had a better year.

Perhaps reach was a bit too strong of a word, but I think Huff was more of a 12th pick based on his rookie play (admittedly, a bit of a knee jerk reaction).

27, what are your thoughts on Huff's value at #7?

I think Huff went exactly where he should have. He's going to be a good one.

A reach is someone that is a suprise to be drafted in that particular spot, he wasn't. The Raider defense was 26th in the league before he was drafted. They had just lost Charles Woodsen (stiff) to free agency, so clearly, he was the best available at the time, at a major position of need.

He started from day 1 on a defense that went from #26 overall to #3 overall and was 4th on the team in tackles. He was no where near a reach and even at this point , I'd take him at #7 again.
