Official 2006 BP Mock Draft Thread

Well heck since GB has been on the clock for awhile if they dont make a pick I can throw out a few options. They have already drafted a LB, OT and OG so far in the draft and here are a few of thier remaining needs. CB, C, OLB and DT are the 4 things that they need the most. Followed by DE, WR and TE. With this pick in the 4th rd the best player available out of the 4 positions that they need the most would be: Keith Ellison OLB Oregon State. He is predicted to go early in the 3rd to 4th rounds, so at this spot he would be an ideal pick.

They did get rid of Na'il Diggs, so right now the only serviceable linebacker they have is Nick Barnett. Hawk can play both the inside and the outside, and a LB'ing core of Barnett, Hawk and Ellison would upgrade the athleticism of thier defense, along with increase the ability to blitz. They did just sign Ben Taylor also, but he is no better then a backup at best, so we can't necessarily include him in the arguement.

Or if OLB isnt the way they would want to go with this pick , another option for the Packers would be a DT, and with the pick excellent value would be Orien Harris DT Miami. He is predicted as a 3rd round pick, so if they could nab him at this point then that would be a great value pick.

What did you get for the Cleveland swap?

After this mock draft, the Raiders' certainly has to be better.

Ben Taylor is far, far better than a backup.

Orien Harris would be the proper pick.

Personally, I think there should be an 'anti-nomination' rule if other users disagree, as long as it doesn't take too long to settle the pick.

I am assuming that the pick has been made and we are moving on...with the next pick of the NFL draft teh buffalo bills select WR Marques Colston from Hofstra...even though the Bills are looking very strong at WR they do not have a big receiver to throw to...Marques can come right in and be a jump ball threat in the red zone or even a possession receiver for us...and with 4.5 speed he has the potential to be a very good down the road
