The recent announcement that "19 Kids & Counting" star Michelle Duggar, 45, suffered a miscarriage inspired waves of sadness and sympathy. The miscarriage occurred during the second trimester of her pregnancy. The baby, who was due in April, would have been Michelle and husband Jim Bob's 20th.

The "sadness and sympathy" should be extended to this once great nation due to its current obsession with chronicling the lives of walking freak shows like this, John & Kate and the Kardashians.

I was instantly repelled by promos for this show, so I'd never watched it. Hence, I didn't know the grounds for their rat kingdom level of reproduction was their religion. Somewhere I read a quote that she said it was God's will for them to have these children.

Guess it was God's will that they have their own TV show, too.

That's the sweet thing about an omnipotent God, literally everything that happens in the world is his will, so you can basically do whatever you want and somehow it's all part of his plan... if you believe in that sort of thing.
