Exactly. One will be the no. 1 overall pick whatever year he comes out an one will be playing in a Rec. league.

Rec. league?? Then explain why has twice as many players in the NBA than OSU does....

Besides I never said Luke was a better player than Oden....

All I was doing is comparing stat's why is that so difficult guys?

No, you were complaining that their numbers are so similar, yet poor little Luke doesn't get the recognition he deserves like Oden.

Sorry, Oden dominates the paint and alters most of the opposition's shots inside 15 feet, while Luke rarely gets a single block. That's a dramatic difference, and it shows up in the stats pretty blatantly, but you would rather ignore that category because it crushes your argument.

Again, I ask...who says Oden is one and done? Those who are very well informed think he will be around at least another year, if not more.

I am not in the know but I don't have that feeling anymore...

Get back to me in about 6 yrs when we are reaping all the benefits of Oden putting tOSU back on the map...Once again the impact of having him here for one year.

Getting him brought in guys like Conley and Cook...Then guys see the success and flock to the winner...

Oden is a monster in the paint and yet is still a baby in experience.

I didn't do the research so I'm not sure how many players each school has in the NBA. However, I'll take your word for it that ND has more. The reasons are because:

1) Between 1989 and 1997 we had Randy Ayers as coach and he (basically) recruited too many gangsters, deadbeats, and/or career criminals.

2) And between 1997 and 2004 we had Jim O'Brien as coach and he (basically) couldn't consistantly recruit "top talent".

Now with Thad Matta as coach it will be a "whole different ball game".

O'Brien was a pieces coach. He would get pieces for his system instead of getting great players and adjusting his system to the player.

Kinda like Wisconsin does, but Wisconsin does it a LOT better on average.

Paul Biancardi tried to do the same thing at Wright State and was failing miserably until the NCAA banned him from recruiting and he resigned. Now this year, with a new coach but quite a few of the same players are leading the Horizon league (or they were, that's as of Friday)....

Troy Murphy 8.9

Pat Garrity 2.5

Matt Carroll 10.8

Total ............ 22.2

Michael Redd...... 27.7

I'm quite certain there isn't a team in the league that wouldn't trade your NBA guys, plus cash considerations and Luke Harangody for Michael Redd. (heck they may even toss in Chris Thomas... although I don't know why anyone would want him)
