Hartline, while he is a good player he seemed to not be with the "program" this year. I for one will not be upset if he declares. If you want to be with the program awesome, if not the door is right behind you.

Could not have said it better myself.

Easy there guys. I don't think it was an issue of not wanting to be here. I think it was a lack of focus. You know these kids are 18-22+years old. I'm 21 and if everyone expected me to be perfect 24/7 I'd be in some big trouble. Now, he did not put up the numbers he/and the fans wanted nor did he produce consistently, but he's a Buckeye through and through. He just had a rough year. Look at Robo, he also struggled at times this year, and I do not see many people giving him a ton of grief. I'd like to see him back next year, and really work hard this off-season so that he can finish strong as a Buckeye.

Glad to see that leaving talk is gone and he's coming back. 2009 could be a very good year for him. He needs to be smart and take advantage of the opportunity. Our team could really use a big year from him, too. :osu:

It wouldn't surprise me to see both Hartline and Small have really great years in 2009. They both are seniors; and will realize that they may have made some mistakes in the past, they will be more mature, appreciate the opportunity that they have here, know this is their last chance to perform at the college level, and "grab the brass ring" this time around.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Hartline has made his decision publin yet. I believe Jake is referring to Small in his post above.

I'm surprised, but I don't think he'd get much out of another year here.

That being said, I'd be surprised if he was picked up before the fifth round.

He will go before the fifth round. I would guess 3rd or so at the latest, and some of it just depends on if there is a run on wr's at some point in the draft.
