Collarbones heal really nicely and usually sooner rather than later.

I think Hartline could possibly see the field next b/c this kid is going to be a stud.

6'3'' 180 with blazing fast speed. Can anyone imagine. I can't even think of who to compare him to.

He broke his collarbone emulating Jeff Samar........ in practice last week on a hit by Sirjo Welch. He said it didn't hurt nearly as bad as his broken leg.

Here's an article on it...

COLUMBUS - When it comes to breaking bones, few can stay as positive as Brian Hartline.
The Ohio State freshman wide receiver broke his right collarbone at the end of Saturday’s practice as the Buckeyes were preparing for the Jan. 2 Fiesta Bowl. Hartline broke his leg in the first game of his final season at GlenOak High School.
The 6-foot-3, 180-pounder is redshirting this year and has worked on the scout team offense all season. He will make the trip to Arizona with his teammates.
“If you were going to pick a time for this to happen, this is the perfect time,” Hartline said. “But I’m sick of saying that. I will miss a week of winter conditioning and be back after that.”
Hartline was working at wide receiver, emulating Notre Dame’s Jeff Samardzija, even wearing the same No. 83 in a Notre Dame green practice jersey last week.
The injury came during the final 15 minutes of practice, when Head Coach Jim Tressel holds “show time.” It’s an opportunity for young players who don’t play on Saturday afternoons to show off their skills. Hartline beat defensive back Serjo Welch on a post route for a touchdown. Hartline caught the pass, but Welch landed on him in the end zone. “It was the second-to-last play,” Hartline said. “I didn’t think I broke it. I went back to the huddle and it was hurting and then I decided to come out and let the trainers look at it. It wasn’t nearly as bad or as painful as the broken leg last year. That’s why I didn’t think it was broken.”
