To be fair, liking a shitty football franchise/program can definitely alert one to "red flags" of shitty coaches more than fans who are used to seeing competent coaching.

I am tragically bad at guessing the success of new hire coaches. I think saying "I called it" on Patricia would be disingenuous, that one was just obvious. Same goes for Hartline and Vrabel. Most of the time (like here) I have no idea, so I just hope Day made the right call and support it until there is reason to doubt it.
