Pounding out aggression, turns into obsession
There's a lot of threads close to this topic, but I didn't see anything that took a little more positive look at our NCAA Tourney chances. Basically, ending the season 19-12, how many games do the Bucks need to win in the Big 10 Tourney to make the dance?

I'm going with 1. They need to repeat today's MSU win to make the field.

I think you need either two or none at all. If what you've got right now (that would include the reg. season win over MSU) isn't enough, knocking off MSU again isn't going to somehow re-impress the committee.
I think this is a solid observation, however winning on a neutral court may provide a very slight improvement in the resume. For the first time in a long while, OSU actually received the b10 home court advantage at home from the whistlers.

Plain Dealer had a bit today (I'm sure it was Doug L., but don't remember for sure) on the current bubble teams. Listed as the top 5 were Ohio State, Florida, Syacuse, Kentucky, and someone else... Anyways, the Buckeyes handled 2 of those teams with very little trouble, and didn't play the other two. That should count for SOMETHING.

The more and more I think about it, I think we have a 50/50 shot at already being in.

I think one will get us in, so I took that choice, but like others two would be a lot safer. Hell, let's win the damn thing.

If we lose to Sparty I think we're left out of the field. Too many good teams didn't get auto bids the last few days and 19-13 is a tough sell. We need that 20th win, at the very least.

But losing to them again will?

I said two. Obviously winning the BTT gets us in, but we have to win at least one more game after beating MSU again to be sure without winning the BTT. Two wins (meaning a loss in the BTT title game) puts us at 21-13 and BTT runner-up which should be good enough for an at-large bid.

I voted for two because I asked the think they can win the whole thing but just couldn't go that far:) I think that they can't take Sparty again and I really think that they can beat the Badgers. I think beating MSU on a neutral court will be enough but beating Wisconsin would give me great pleasure.

Re: San Diego upset Gonzaga Monday night to win the West Coast Conference men's basketball tournament.

Ohio State needs at least one maybe two wins to get in. It actually could depend on how many teams like San Diego, that wouldn't have gotten in otherwise, win their conference tournament and get an automatic bid (which could reduce the number of "bubble teams" getting in).
