Me too, but I think the clock was slow to start on that play, so they probably shouldn't have had time left.

You might have a point there. With my untrained skills, I just ran a video of that play and used my phone's stop watch. I did it a few times. I got 3.66-3.91 seconds. So that means I'm not very good at this. But does that mean it's 3.0 seconds or 4.0 seconds? I don't know.
But... I don't think you can review the start time of the clock. I know you can review how much time is left on the clock. And it's clear that there's 0:01 remaining.
We saw in the WMU-cheaters game and the Iowa-cheaters game that the referees jump right in and say that we need to review that final play before we decide the winner. Or I think it was 2013 when Alabama fought to have 1 second put back on the clock against Auburn. There should have been SOMETHING done to look at that.
Don't get me wrong - Eff ND right in the armpit. I like the result. But I'm shocked that no one tried to make the refs look at that.
