I imagine that Grimes will take over as the number 1 receiver, if hes healthy. He missed a lot of last season due to injuries. Robby could be the #2 guy, hes a nice tall target while Grimes is more of a hands guy. Anything could really happen though, Kamara hopefully will produce more, Floyd could see playing time and could end up being the most productive, Golden Tate has play making ability if/when you can get the ball into his hands. None of these guys have stepped forward to fill the shoes of McKnight, Samardzija, and Stovall. Hopefully at least one of them will next week.

Statistically, Orange Creme, Paris IS your top guy coming back.

cfbstats.com - 2007 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Receiving

Look at the second name on that list, right under John Carlson. And I said "Robby Paris is the leading returner". So, where is that incorrect? Kthanks. And do tell me where I said losing Brockington and Stephenson "would really hurt" as you say. I'm waiting.

Oh and it's credibility, not credability. Solid ND education there.

If you had said "statisically" Paris was the top guy coming back then I would have let you off the hook but you did not. ND's top 4 receivers as of now are Grimes, Kamara, Floyd and Tate.

As for Brockington and Stephenson you implied they were big loses by calling them 2 of the top 5 TFL guys.

Too many Orange Creme Margaritas last night there Chief?

"Let's move on to the pass-catchers. Robby Paris is the leading returner, with 361 yards and a very mediocre 12.45 ypc and one touchdown. "

Reading comprehension. It rules.

"Three of your top 5 TFL guys are gone (Laws, Brockington, Stephenson), and 9 of your 18 sacks from last year are gone. "

Nowhere in there did I say they were big losses, except for Laws. All I said is 3 of the top 5 TFL guys were gone. Again, readng comprehension, it's awesome.

Don't worry, since Chuck never actually played football, he's got eligibility left. They're just going to plug his fat ass in the middle of the line and *poof* instant run stopper. It'd take an army of bulldozers to get his ass out of there, much less a a center and guard.

If you had a clue about ND then you would know that Paris is no where near one of ND's best receivers. You can spin all this anyway you want it but that what I said is exactly what you impied........

In the end you will end up looking pretty silly.

Once again, that whole reading comprehension thing just is not working out for you, is it?

"Robby Paris is the leading returner". In no way does it say Robby Paris is your best receiver, just your statistically leading returning receiver.

Sniper, I would say you're only partially right. You would be correct in saying that Paris is the leading stats receiver going by last year's stats. Actually, thats not even totally accurate, as Paris had only a few yards more than Duval Kamara, while Kamara has more receptions and 4 TDs to Paris's 1 TD.

Overall, Grimes is the leading receiver statistically over his career and probably from an experience and skill level as he has 2 years and some change under his belt. Grimes was injured part of last year, which is why the younger guys outpaced him in stats. On the other hand, hes not a tall receiver, while Paris and Kamara have height advantages. Currently Grimes and Kamara are listed as the starting receivers, with Paris possibly in on 3 WR sets.

This doesn't change the fact that none of these receivers have really stepped up and filled the shoes of McKnight, Stovall, or Samardzija as "go to" guys you can count on, or playmakers that will really open up games. I expect as the protection gets better, the QBs will be able to hit these guys more often, including getting the running game going so the offense isn't so one dimensional.
