Just when ESPN thought they had everyone convinced that Cheeseburger Charlie was really going to do it this year, they show the clip of two Domers throwing punches at each other (after "Jimmy Heisman" threw an INT and it was returned for a TD. Did not catch names, but it looked like a DB and a WR). Real classy for a spring game

Neither did Notre Dame last year...

I think I've played enough to understand that tempers will flare in practice (old school coaches liked to stir it up and sometimes even encouraged it). It was understood that there was a time and place to vent your frustration (we call that discpline). If front of tens of thousands of fans in a scrimmage is not the time, nor the place. This shows a lack of control by the position coaches (and ultimatley the head coach) and lack discpline by the players (see 3 - 8 last year).

To answer t_buck, don't know how many other teams suffered the same embarassment this year, but this one looked kind of ugly (more that just pushing and shoving)...

Sorry Chief. When/If ND comes back you can gloat. You can thump your chest and brag about intrasquad fights during spring practice.

But not now. For now you just have to grab your ankles and take it like a man.

Of course it took a great player from the Buckeye State (Staubach)
