It's not that hard to go to Sagarin Archive s see where I got my info.
YOu may have had the last few victories on the field but SOS is a war you can't win. FACE THE FACTS!
Maybe out all time SOS would go up if we stopped playing ND .

Dang... I'm going to be a Notre Dame fan now. Tired of the winning of the games and all... I want to win the WAR!

C'mon, Chief. Does that really not sound just plain silly to you? Aren't the games always what matters?

Hey. I am man enough to face the fact that OSU has won the last 3 betwwen the two teams. I am just waiting for others to be man enough to admit that ND usually plays a tougher schedule.

The way Weiss is recruiting, they are going to be fine and real quick. He is very vocal about not liking to lose.

I likin Weiss to Tressel, they resurected (sp?) what it meant to play for the respective schools which everyone would agree was lost with Willy and Coop etc.

You either hate ND or like them, there's no in between. They've been around since dirt, played football since dirt and have won since dirt and probably moreso than other program throughout their history. tOSU is probably a notch below them and guess what, the rest of the country is not exactly enamoured with us either.

Charlie has/is proving that he is a great recruiter despite what some here have said about him.

Two out of 3 links shown in this thread show that they don't and even if it were true who cares? I don't. All I care about is that we win, and beat the snot out of you.

Oh please, spare me. What Sagarin, or any rating service doesn't take into account is the difficulty playing in a conference. Face it, Notre Dame is too scared to join a conference.

LOL!! How soon we forget that at the beginning of the BIG10 it was OSU and the BIG10 that were afraid to let ND in.

As far as the SOS thing goes the entire country is/will be giving OSU crap about it's schedule while every publication out there talks about ND's difficult schedule as they do most every year......

"ND usually plays a tougher schedule"? :roll2:
If you want to include just the USC resurgent years!
I'll give them credit for a tough schedule this year.

ND vs Top 30=1-3 Ouch!
It's a good thing Charlie is such a great recruiter!

sos this. sos that. here's the kicker: win a freakin' game. since weis the great joined the program, you have beaten nobody. nobody. your best win is a loss to usc two seasons ago. that is it.

okay. so weis is still a new coach. blah blah blah. tell that to tressel and meyer.

okay. they had more to start with. blah blah blah. you're freakin' notre dame. it's an absolute joke that your program can have such down years for such long times. 3 monkeys, 4 cashier register attendants, and a carny could coach notre ame to at least 8-4 every year.

you're freakin' notre dame. act like it. beat someone that matters. sheesh.

sos? let's try wos... win on schedule.

That's because they've sucked almost every year for the past decade and the publications need to give delusional Notre Dame fans some explanation as to why they suck year after year so they continue to buy their magazines... which explains your obsession with strength of schedule in my opinion. I'm looking forward to a nice 2-6 or 3-5 start from the Golden Domers this year before hitting the oh-shit-we-need-to-get-into-a-bowl stretch against the powerhouses Navy, Air Force, Duke, and Standford. If we're really lucky though, maybe this will be the year Navy breaks the losing streak. Look on the bright side though, if you don't make it to a bowl game, you can't lose another bowl game.

LOL! You do realize that 3 times since 2000 OSU had a worse record than ND has had in the past 2 seasons. Granted I wish ND had done better than 9-3 and 10-3 but it's not like those were terrible seasons.

NDC - c'mon you know it is pointless to chase what you perceive as an irrelevant assertion by making what is in truth at least as irrelevant an assertion. Still, you did mention all those years from 2000 on ....
So ...

Why not do the span of time - irrespective of coaches - that you interject into the conversation - 2000 to the present day.

Judge - this door was opened when the witness went and consulted his record books ..

ND's record 200 to present
2006 - 10-3 2005 9-3 2004 6-6 2003 5-7 2002 10-3 2001 5-6 2000 9-3

OSU's record 2000 to present
2006 - 12-1 2005 10-2 2004 8-4 2003 11-2 2002 14-0 2001 7-5 2000 8-4

I'll let this jury of peers decide what the above means.

moreover, notre ame's 3 worst seasons since 2000 were 6-6 ('04), 5-7 ('03), and 5-6 ('01). ohio state has to go back to '66 to find the third season of comparable shame: 6-6 ('99), 4-6-1 ('88), and 4-5 ('66).
