Despite the team looking a smidge better than last year, I would have to go with the Spartans this week against the Irish. Notre Dame and scUm trade wins just about every other year in the last decade or more, no matter who is ranked what or where they're playing. As far as Michigan State, more often than not lately they've gone over on the Irish in this rivalry, for whatever reason the Irish have a harder time playing MSU.

Now - when I drafted you as one of my QB's in my college fantasy football league, I did so under the assumption that you were going to - kinda, sorta, maybe...complete some passes this year.

Don't get me wrong. Throwing for less than 175 yards for two straight weeks isn't bad per/se. But is certainly "fucks me" in the "ass" as it were...

Get something done this week. Notre Dame sucks. 3 TD's minimum.

LAST MEETING Michigan State won 31-10 last season in South Bend, Ind., and has won eight of the past 11 games in the series. Notre Dame leads overall 44-26-1.
THE SKINNY The Irish look to be on the road to recovery after a dreadful 2007 season. Notre Dame's 18-point victory over Michigan -- though the Wolverines clearly are rebuilding -- was impressive.
Quarterback Jimmy Clausen still has plenty of room to improve, as evidenced by his four interceptions so far. But he has also thrown for five touchdowns. Golden Tate, who had only six catches last season, has emerged as Clausen's favorite target with 10 catches for 220 yards and two touchdowns.
"I think their football team is playing with a lot of confidence," Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio said. "They seem to be having a lot of fun playing right now. Their quarterback is obviously much improved from last year when we played them.

I have to say that it appears to me that Dantonio has his D working just like he wants it. A shutout last week and
it looks great so far today.
That could be bad news in the future.
