Injury prevention is the excuse they say.

I find it funny that they're in Ireland and the US Naval Academy is the home team and the Fighting Irish are the away team

Considering all of the Irishmen I have met are infuriated by the Leprechaun mascot-infuriated by Irish standards, not my own-I will be watching just to see if the little bouncy red bastard survives the game. I fucking hate Notre Dame.

Irish up early 13-0, new kicker hooked the first XPT. George Atkinson III just broke a big 56 yard run and showed a lot of speed. New QB, Golson, is managing the game well so far, but they're keeping it simple with lots of running game.

Also, the CBS commentators might have gotten an early start on the Irish booze. They've screwed up names of at least one player on each side so far, and somehow they get some interesting information that Louis Nix just switched to defense this year after playing offensive guard last year, which is incorrect.

In any case, I like the short commercial breaks on CBS, and the stadium looks nice :)

They moved the kickoffs up 5 yards so there will likely be more touchbacks. Like the NFL, they're ruining kickoffs to prevent injuries.

This is going to get boring, like last year's game, unless you're a closet ND fan. Navy has slipped back a notch and doesn't look like they're going to be better this year.
