Non-Playoff Bowl Games Discussion Thread

#guantlet

Illinois had 8 wins as well, they beat a 9-3 USC team and blew out the ACC champs on the road. 2 wins significantly better than any win by Mizzou. The same people hyping Mizzou as a great win for Bama of course would laugh if Ohio State tried claiming Illinois as a great win though.

If you go back to old old threads, I made one about BCS facts for your SEC friends. It was about 20 years ago now.

I showed the exact same type of thing- the matchups were almost always a higher placed, higher ranked SEC team playing an underdog Big Ten team in the SEC home footprint.

Oddly enough, ESPN and SEC dick swingers never acknowledged it. They just pointed to the same Bowl scoreboard that @BB73 just showed and that was it.
I remember the existence of the thread. I don't remember what was in it.
As for your third paragraph, I think that's just human nature. I found some evidence that supports my claim; why should I acknowledge anything said after that?

Is he auditioning for SECPN? Using Auburn as an example of how good mid-SEC teams are is pretty ludicrous. He also clearly didn’t look at A&M’s conference schedule.

Lol no kidding, Auburn won ONE SEC game and it was against a complete dog shit Arkansas team, their best win was against a 5-7 Baylor team.

Completely awful offense. Only scored 3 points against Kentucky who gave up 30 or more points in half of their games. 80th in Yards Per Game and 74th in PPG.

Defense was not even close to good enough to make up for it. 30th in YPG allow and 34th in PPG allowed.

Auburn this year would lose on a neutral field to Minnesota and Northwestern type teams IMO. But yea these honks are gonna act like they'd be some contender in any other conference.
