there isn't nearly enough evidence to support oden's suspension nor the discussion of it. it's not even close. furthermore, this matter would be left to the big ten--not the ncaa. if the foul was anything more than just a regular foul, it would have been a normal technical and not a flagrant foul. as such, further action would not be called for.

unless it's egregious, players' comments are largely beyond reproach. coaches, on the other hand, aren't. even then, coaches can get away with a lot of harsh criticism of the officials. this isn't the nba.
