No. 1 Ohio State vs. #9 Xavier (Game Thread)

I agree, but the whole situation could have been avoided if they had called the original foul.

Look at it this way, Ohio State didn't have the greatest of efforts for the first 37 minutes of that game and STILL found a way to get into OT and put it away WITHOUT Oden.

The reffing wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst and honestly it went both ways so let's not complain about that too loudly.

Go Bucks and now that I've recovered from passing out, I gotta get some stitches for this nasty gash in my head :banger:

Despite what I said earlier(I kind of let the emotions get the best of me), this team really played great when it counted, in the final two minutes. This team showed that that it is relentless and has tremendous heart.

Lewis, and Conley deserve all the credit. Lewis has been absolutely outstanding in the post season. What can I say about that shot? Conley really turned it on in OT and pretty much single handedly guided us to the win in OT.

Cook, well he made some decisions that I didnt agree with, however he showed guts and came back and hit a big three. Hopefully this will get him going and he can start to regain the form that he showed earlier in the season.

I guess you can say we snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.

I understand the sentiment, but I don't think we can complain about these refs. That should have been a flagrant foul on Oden.

Yes we can and no that should not have been flagrant. You're wrong twice. Actually, it should have been a foul on no.1 for yanking Oden's arm during the shot.

When we were down by 9 with around 3:00 left, most of me inside was saying "Game over"...but, deep down I had the exact same feeling I had when Gamble dropped the ball in the end zone in OT in the 2002 NC game, and that is ,"It's not supposed to end yet". And just as the penalty flag came out to keep us going against Cryami, Xavier missed that back end of the 1-and-1 to give us the chance to tie and continue. I hope we are indeed a team of destiny...

I just hope that the Bucks use this game as a wakeup call. I hope they take the next few days and realize that they gotta bring it like they did in the last 2 minutes of the game plus OT and play like that all the time. Great job coming back by the Bucks and I am really proud of how they closed the game out. Ron Lewis played with heart and if they all play like Ron we will win the championship. OUR HONOR DEFEND WE WILL FIGHT TO THE END FOR OHIO!
