One recruit we seem to be pushing harder for that’s not talked about, is Quincy Porter Jr. Matt Parker has Ohio State trending for him and Chad Simmons said Ohio State, Florida State and Michigan are the 3 schools being strongly considered. Porter is expected to visit this spring.

He hasn't been mentioned much, but OSU seems to be in the hunt for Porter. Should be interesting to follow

I'm wondering if this says something about Portal entries tomorrow, because if OSU lands Porter alongside Jones. That leaves 2 spots to get: Brown, Ffrench, Watkins, Moore, or Taylor

Agree and I think Ffrench is a lock. Would be awesome to get into the season not having to worry about landing all the big commitments as much as just keeping them committed.

Agreed on both fronts. The WR class has been so unpredictable so far even by modern day recruiting standards, but I just shrug my shoulders because I know that'll get handled. That said, I see Ffrench in for sure and after after that who knows with all the positive traction we seem to be gaining with a bunch of elite guys. I would venture to guess one of Watkins or Brown land here (if not both), but no way in the world you turn down Moore.

Cognitive dissonance at its finest. I'm sure it has nothing to do with our WRs constantly getting drafted high and Hartline developing talent 8D And to the NIL point, quit whining and step up your game like OSU did.

As to Porter, he is a talent and I would love to get his commitment on that alone, but seeing that it would be beating ttun for a guy that they are after so hard, that would make it even sweeter.

I think Vernell Brown stays in Florida but Ffrench signs with the good guys. I don’t think a lot of people know or understand just how good Porter is… SEVERAL east coast people in the know have gone on record as to saying Porter is a generational talent. It’s one thing for a singular person to say something like that that yiu couod easily chalk up as Simple exaggeration. But when multiple people go on record using that same phrase, that grabs my attention.

I’m going to predict Hartline goes ham this cycle and we end up with these four in the ‘25 WR recruiting class…

1) De’Zie Jones
2) Quincy Porter
3) Jaime Ffrench
4) Dakorien Moore

2 Jersey kids to go along with Ffrench and Moore. My dream class from the very beginning was Kaliq Lockett instead of Jones along with those other 3, and then after Lockett faded, Boggs Decommited, and Bill Green hyped up Vernell Brown… my top 4 would have Brown replacing Jones who I was surprised they took so early with all these top guys still unsigned.

On3 has this kid going to Scum by a slight amount over OSU. Maybe if Hartline goes full court press, OSU may get him.

I still think OSU can land Brown, there will be articles contradicting themselves for months, and I can just as easily see Brown replacing Porter. Though I like having a bigger WR in the room like Porter.
