2025 NJ WR Quincy Porter is a Buckeye!!!

I keep bringing up JJ Smith and Henry Jr on the same field, but you throw Porter in and man we have some size. And not just size, speed and athleticism. Add Bell and call it a day unless Myles is realistic is my take.
The wildcard to keep in the back of everyone's minds is Bodgpen Miller. He's going to need at least 2yrs(maybe even 3) to get up to CFB speed and become a more well rounded WR. But he may have one of the highest ceilings

100% agree. I'm just thinking of near future units. Miller is wildly intriguing and needs development in the system, whereas I can see Porter competing for PT pretty early.

Dirty sluggo route, that was one of my favorites back in my playing days. Hit 'em with 2-3 successful slants and then boom, tuddy. I'm really excited about Porter though, this kid is seriously talented. Has great size, is extremely fluid and fast for his size, and looks like his route running is pretty progressed for being in HS.

Quincy Porter didn't shy away from representing Ohio State while playing in Northeast Ohio last Friday.
Back in the Buckeye State for the first time since he committed to Ohio State in June, Porter helped lead Bergen Catholic (New Jersey) to a 35-21 win over Massillon Washington, who won the Ohio Division II state championship in 2023.
Given that it was a rain-soaked night, Porter made the most of his limited opportunities, totaling six catches for 85 yards and a touchdown. With Massillon's defense focused on him throughout much of the game, the 6-foot-3, 190-pound wide receiver had to work hard to get open. He did just that on a 56-yard touchdown when he was able to get open with a sluggo concept that allowed Porter to get behind the opposing cornerback for a wide-open touchdown.

Even when Porter didn't have the ball in his hands, he still continued to find ways to make an impact. With Bergen Catholic's top two running backs combining for 48 carries for 264 yards and three touchdowns, the duo got the ball throughout much of the game. The weather meant that Porter had to make an impact in the running game, and he did just that, showcasing his ability to block downfield and free up the rushing attack.

"Well, in general for me, I say it's all parts of the game. No matter what level you are, just always try to get better," Porter said about perfecting his craft. "(Blocking downfield is) a big part of our program. Receivers got to block, and I expect that Ohio State receivers got to block there, too."
Even though Ohio State was playing the next day, Brian Hartline made the trip 120 miles northeast of Columbus to watch Porter along with Tim Walton, who was there to watch Bergen Catholic four-star 2026 cornerback Jordan Thomas, an Ohio State target.
"He's definitely going to be my future coach, so being able to play in front of him is big," Porter said of Hartline. "We're speaking a lot, having good conversations."

https://www.nj.com/highschoolsports...thers-shine-against-rival-don-bosco-prep.htmlIn what could be Quincy Porter’s last game against Bergen Catholic’s bitter rivals, not only did the Ohio State commit have an impact, his little brother, Bryan Porter, played a major part as well.
Quincy had two receptions for 84 yards, including a 54-yard completion that set up the game’s first score. Bryan had two catches for 37 yards and had the go-ahead touchdown in the third quarter on a 21-yard connection with quarterback Dominic Campanile.

“That is the most hyper-competitive brothers I’ve seen here. Every rep out here, they are incredibly intense. I know something about that,” Vito Campanile said while laughing, referencing his relationships with his brothers. “It’s awesome to see.”

Quincy is a household name.

The reigning NJ.com Offensive Player of the Year is one of the top recruits in the country and is a matchup nightmare for any defense because of his combination of size and speed.

Bryan is just a sophomore but is the next line as far as playmakers coming up through the Oradell program with Campanile comparing him to one of the top players in the NFL.

“Bryan is gonna be a very similar guy. He’s going to be more of a Deebo Samuel type if that makes sense,” Campanile said. “He’s going to be a great player here. He’s a great player already. He’s one of the fastest kids on the team and he’s in 10th grade. He’s 200 pounds, he’s a really physical blocker.”

Quincy had a quiet game, but I wanted to show his little brother a little love, as he'll be on the Buckeyes radar soon enough

Per AG, the sense is WR Quincy Porter ends up sticking with Ohio State.
Porter's visit to Florida was him testing his NIL market value. Ohio State does not believe this is an NIL driven recruitment, though.

Florida is firing the NIL cannons to get DJ Lagway some weapons with five star WRs Dallas Wilson and Jaime Ffrench also in to visit this past weekend.
