Any MAC team fan would kill for this chance and be happy. Happy to be there. do I expect NIU to realistically win? No. But I'll have fun either way

Not to mention the massive exposure we are getting. Of course mostly negative from the dbags on espn from all AQ schools of course.

Watching these dipshit ESPN pieces of gabage talk about this, and Herbstreit is THE worst offender reminds of of NCAA Hoops Selection Sunday back in 2006 when Har-don (oops, I mean Dick) Vitale ranted and raged about what a travesty it was that Geogre Mason was selected to participate in that years field of 64.

Anybody out there remember how that one turned out?

Best of luck to Northern Illinois. They broke my heart on friday by beating my Alma Mater Kent State. But they represent the MAC and I'm all-in to see them win!

Hey he put shoelaces in second place for most rushing yards by a QB in a single season. That's gotta be worth rooting for him if no other reason.

Yeah yeah I know he won't even sniff NYC but still.....this is Midwest vs the south. I would've pulled for kent st had they made it.

F the noles! Oh yeah and lynch for heisman. :)

Good for NIU. Oklahoma is probably the most perenially disappointing teams in football. They would have choked against FSU anyway.

On a side note, how huge is that $8 million pay day for the MAC?

Listening to Herbie cry is always fun. Of course this is a team that couldn't beat Iowa we're talking about, but then again...we all know how Big Game Bob would have done in another BCS game, so...why not give someone else a shot (and thank God it's not Boyzee to Men State again).

Waiting for all the resident Herbie lovers to come on defending him...

It would be one thing if he was like Billy Packer and just hated all small schools for every reason all the time. But he had so much saliva built up for Boyzee State's knob for those 3-4 years that it seems just a little laughable now that he would be all "small schools don't deserve their shot" all of a sudden.

Can't we all just agree that Herbie is nothing more than a talking head? He has no opinions other than what makes for good TV. I can't imagine anyone being able to argue otherwise with the mountains of evidence to support it.
