Penguins waived Kasperi Kapanen today. Might be a decent claim by the Jackets if they want to send a kid down to the AHL. His contract (expires after next season, 3.2 mill cap hit) was why he was waived, but he is better than a waiver-caliber player. A lot of Pens fans are already calling for Hextall to be fired (not necessarily because of that - but because he put together a really expensive bottom six that plays like shit and is handicapping the team on the ice and their salary cap).

I think he fires Sullivan in the offseason. Jackets should be all over Sullivan if/when that happens.

They are at such a different level when I watch them. And it seems like they’ve been touched by the hockey gods.

They did it again last night. Down 3-2 in 3rd to Flames and they were getting outshot about 42-12. But they dominated final 7-8 minutes. Tied it up. Then get an OT winner with like 4 seconds. Of course.

Have watched just about every game this season and it’s been very enjoyable to watch. Caught them in person back in October in Columbus. Just hope they can finish and send Bergy into retirement properly.
