The Canucks fire Boudreau and replace him with...wait for it...Rick Tocchet.

Imagine choosing Rick Tocchet and JT Miller over Bruce Boudreau and Bo Horvat. Have fun with that "re-tool." I feel bad for Elias Pettersson.

I've already heard rumblings that Pettersson won't re-sign in Vancouver if they aren't competing. Could be bullshit though. NHL media is more of a throw as much shit at the wall phase since Bob Mckenzie retired. But EP only signed for three years on his last contract. It was kind of a talking point then.

I've seen where he's likely to be their next Captain with the plan to build around him and Quinn Hughes. I was surprised Kuzmenko re-signed there, honestly. They need to commit to a full rebuild. If Pettersson/Hughes/Kuzmenko are their core, that's not a bad starting point, but they need to commit. Anybody other than those three and maybe Demko need to be on the market. They've spent over a decade slapping band-aids on a stale organization.

This missed payment could result in teams like LA, Anaheim, Arizona, Dallas, St. Louis, Minnesota, Detroit, Columbus, Nashville, Carolina, Tampa Bay, and Florida all losing their coverage, so they wont have any TV deals!

All these teams were being covered by Bally Sports networks. This could have a huge impact on financials in the NHL.

I remember when I was so excited to see the CBJ get out of the Central division with DET, CHI, STL, and NSH. DET has the most points of that lot with 62, good for 19th best in the league right now. :lol:

Instead they ended up in the meatgrinder that is the Metro. Go fucking figure.
