It had a lot more to do with them completely dominating the Western conference teams....and the Metro as a whole (21-2-0)....the CBJ didn't play them that badly though....they lost all 3 but all 3 were somewhat competitive.

62 wins back when the Wings did it was pre-salary cap. It was still possible to assemble a super team (and I still think that team would smoke this Boston team), but doing this in the cap era is pretty damn impressive.

Anaheim blew a two goal lead in the 3rd, after Colorado blew a 2 goal lead in the 1st and 2nd, and the game is going to OT.

With that point, Anaheim is now at least at 58 points (Columbus is last with 56, Chicago also has 56 but has the tie breaker with more wins).

While this season has been a the most fun I’ve ever experienced watching night in and night out…
None of it means a thing without a Cup.

First team to do that since the 95-96 Pens. They're like watching an '80s team. And since adding Ekholm, they've started playing defense, too. Ekholm is +25 in 19 games. Crazy. They're a wagon right now. Monster game vs. Colorado tomorrow.
