Three fortuitous bounces for LA & they're up 3-0 in this game. Man, talk about some misfortune for New York. This is some of the worst luck I've ever seen.

Kings sign Marian Gaborik to seven-year contract

After he played a key role in them winning the Stanley Cup, the Los Angeles Kings didn’t want to let Marian Gaborik slip through their fingers as an unrestricted free agent. They managed to avoid that fate by signing him to a seven-year contract.
He will earn a little more than $34 million per season and come with a cap hit just below $5 million annually, according to Sportsnets’ Nick Kypreos.
.
.
.
That being said, he’s accepting a significantly smaller average salary than he’s enjoyed in the past, which is critical as Los Angeles attempts to keep its championship roster intact without reaching the cap ceiling.

Anyone interested in getting a BP Fantasy Hockey League going ? I've tried every year to get one going, but have ultimately come up short on each occasion. I figured with the CBJ making the Playoffs last season, this might be the best chance to finally get one going. Do we have any willing takers ?

Watch Toronto crowd when mic fails during 'Star-Spangled Banner'
It's hard to believe what happened in Toronto on Tuesday night would take place if the skate was on the other foot and the same situation occurred in the States.

The Maple Leafs were hosting the Nashville Predators at the Air Canada Centre.

As is customary in matchups pitting a US team vs. a Canadian team, the visiting squad's national anthem is played first.

But when singer Michelle Madeira's microphone failed during "The Star-Spangled Banner" ...

... just watch how the Toronto crowd responded.
