NFL Draft, Cam Heyward, and Fake Locker

Locker's athleticism is pretty impressive, but the dude couldn't throw a football into the ocean if he were standing in it.

He threw it pretty good a couple years ago on that touchdown that LOST em the game, LOL

SmoovP, the same people that are pumping up Locker are the same people killing Mallett. They're trying to put their horse into the race ahead of yours.

I think it works in Mallett's favor. It lowers expectations a bit coming out of school. Not to mention, he can fly under the radar and watch all the other train wrecks happen with the other QBs.

It's crazy what they're doing to Ryan Mallett with the character assassination.

About 98.9% of it is complete fabrication. ...

D) Haters gonna hate
This is not the outcome of specific incidents; it's more the "vibe" the young man gives off. Ever since Ryan Leaf, the NFL has been very wary of QBs who seem to display an "attitude," and Mallett obviously fits that bill. It may be the young man is a swell guy, but if scouts perceive otherwise, it's too bad. Regardless, he'll soon be a millionaire, so I can't work up too much sympathy for him.

And you're right - hatas gonna hate. :tongue2:

Damn.....any time someone invokes the Leaf card, bad things happen.

My personal opinion? I think this is a smear job by the folks up in MEEEECHICKEN.

Here's an old article as Exhibit A:

http://detnews.com/article/20110226...nference-short-in-face-of-character-questions

Notice the taglines for the story:

Ryan Mallett cuts news conference short in face of character questions

And then in much smaller print below:

Newton gets it

Mallett could have taken a lesson in media relations from Auburn quarterback Cam Newton.

Sounds like a smear job to me. Where's Abe Zapruder?

Actually, I think I know the problem that Mallett has, and why the NFL guys are saying all these 'character issues' are coming up.

Pretty bad, but this is unfortunately why:

Nuff Said.

?He?s a gutless b?d. Quote that. I don?t give a s?.? When told that we might might not be able to use the B word, Zimmer went one better: ?How about this, gutless MF. You can use that.?

About 98.9% of it is complete fabrication.

Here are the facts:

1. He had one very minor brush with the law
2. He's never failed a drug test
3. He's a solid leader
4. He works extremely hard in the film room and practice field
5. His arm is an exceedingly rare thing
6. He is bright and has a very high football IQ
7. He's cocky but not arrogant
8. He is slow of foot

But to hear the ESPN wankers and some of the other talking heads tell it, you'd think he is a drug-addicted child molester who bathes in the blood of sacrificed kitties while singing Air Supply songs and should just go ahead and give up the dream of an NFL career because it's hopeless already.

You are forgetting that he once consciously chose to wear the wanged helmet.

As far as I'm concerned everything they say about him is true, he's lower than a child molesting Jihadist.
