NFL Discussion (Official Thread)

Here's the game right here:

2nd and 1: Davis rush for no gain
3rd and 1: Allen rush for no gain
4th and 1: Allen rush for 2 yards
1st and 10: Cook for 2 yards
2nd and 8: Pass for 5 yards
3rd and 3: Pass for 2 yards
4th and 1: Allen stuffed

That's some James Franklin shit right there. Stop blaming the refs.
Fair, but also stop letting the refs off the hook.

The Bills coaching sucked but that does not excuse blatant incompetence by the officials. It's old and tiring we see the Chiefs get this preferential treatment in every game but someone always has to come crashing in with the "you cant blame the refs" speech.

It's hard enough to beat the Chiefs on a even playing field with no special ref treatment, it becomes much harder when the refs give them every positive break they can.

All I'm going to say about today, that I know for 100% certain, is Penn State never deserved a player like Saquon Barkley.
I don't think they had Barkley. To be fair, I didn't watch his games against not Ohio State teams.
His best game against Ohio State might have been 2015 - his freshman year. 194 rush yards, and got into the end zone... **checks notes*... 0 times. 38-10 win for the good guys.
In 2016, he got 99 yards and... **checks notes** 0 touchdowns. His team won, but we all know about that game. It wasn't because of Barkley.
In 2017, he returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, and then he got (I really did need to check notes here, because he was not the leading rusher for Penn State) 44 yards and 1 touchdown. On 21 carries. And 1 carry was 36 yards and a touchdown. So 20 carries for 8 yards outside of that. And I think someone said (probably someone here) that he lost yards on half his carries in the 4th quarter.

So I would argue that Penn State didn't have this Saquon Barkley.

But.. back to your post, I agree that Penn State never deserved a player like him.
