NFL Discussion (Official Thread)

I love seeing the Buffalo Bills choke it away yet again. :slappy:

I will always root for the Bengals to be the first team off this list:

Bengals
Bills
Chargers
Lions
Clowns
Vikings
Falcons
Oilers/Titans
Texans
Jaguars
Panthers
Jets (yes they won it once but it's so long ago who cares?)

I want to hear the justification of how the ref on the opposite side of the ball view was able to overturn the first down call of the ref who actually had a view of where the ball was.

Of course they can justify the call standing as "they couldn't get a clear view of where the ball was on replay", even though that is bs as well IMO, but how we got to that point was complete BS.

1) I'm tired of the Chiefs/Mahomes/Kelswift
2) I cannot stand the Iggles and their fans
3) We just saw this game 2 years ago and the outcome will 100% be the same.

Yeah, fuck this game.
I have the Iggles stomping the Chefs. Too much for KC to handle. If the Bills can run on them, imagine Barkley. And look at how each team did against the Bengals...

I'll watch some of it. Hoping to see mahomes cry at some point.

Get ready for a bunch of offensive holding calls on the Eagles in this game. The NFL is all in on the threepeat.

Ok, one gift of a first and goal on an obvious incomplete, but the Buffalo coaches and players put on a real shoot-yourself-in-the-foot clinic.
Other than the pretty damn egregious 4th down call that went in the Chiefs favor, this game wasn't nearly as bad officiating-wise as they have been (I wonder if the amount of people, fans, players, & media calling it out played a role). Buffalo largely blew this game themselves. Sean McDermott is a modern-day Marty Schottenheimer. No convincing me otherwise. In these big games, he makes multiple terrible decisions that end up costing them the game.

1) The assinine 2 point attempts early in the game. WTF are you doing, dude? Take the fucking points.
2) The short-game play calling was cowardly throughout the game. And it led directly to that 4th down call going against them. You know the refs are going to show up at some point for KC, DO NOT give them the opportunity to make impactful calls.
3) Short-game was rough, but their overall play calling was conservative and cowardly throughout the game. You want to win against KC in their house, you're gonna have to take some risks and let 'er rip at some point.

The Bills need to move on from McDerpott. He deserves some credit for making them a competitive team year in and year out after wandering in the wilderness for almost 2 decades, but he has taken them as far as he can. If the goal is the SB - which means actually beating KC in January - they need to move on. He cannot get it done.

Maybe the Browns have ruined it for me, but I’ve grown to fucking hate the NFL

I’m at a point where during football season, I gladly choose Saturday to be my couch-ridden day to watch 3-4 games. Sunday felt like such a fucking wasteful day to watch let alone watch more than 1 game.

I just did some stuff for work, did a National Geographic crystal kit with my 6 year old, took her to get some shoes, took her to the book store, grabbed some stuff for the house and did some laundry. I’m in my mid-30s and that feels like a healthy productive day now.

Don’t know if it’s tragic or positive/simple. I think so much I’ll spend the rest of my life wondering which.

The chiefs are good enough that all it takes is 1 or 2 egregious calls against the opponent to turn the tide.

Buffalo still had their chances but that comically bad call was a total momentum shifter.

I agree that the Bills choked and need to stop all this talk about those several questionable calls that went against them. I was expecting, after all the national outrage regarding the officiating in the Texans game, that the NFL would overcompensate and lean towards the Bills. But nope lol.

They are all in on the threepeat. Like I said above the Chiefs are a good enough team that all it takes is 1 or 2 blatant bad calls to turn the tide. They went a little overboard against Houston, maybe they dialed it back a bit in the Buffalo game, but they still pulled bullshit and gave the Chiefs the ball on the biggest call of the game which completely shifted the momentum of the game at that point.

I expect a couple of phantom hold calls on the eagles OL on big Saquon runs to keep them at bay.
