The Colts were insanely fortunate to go almost directly from Manning to Luck. Now that there is no franchise QB shortcut for them, this retirement is going to hold them down for years.

Colts season ticket holders screwed again.

Peyton was supposed to play Week 1...then he had to go to Germany to keep his neck attached.

Luck was all good to go despite missing preseason...then it turns out his shoulder fell off from an offseason skiing accident.

Now, a mysterious calf injury turned into an ankle injury...turned into retirement 2 weeks before the season.

I’d be upset if I cared. But this is LOL funny to watch unfold live.

I won't lie I think Luck owed it to his teammates to play this year. The fact he told them 2 weeks out from the season blows my mind.

They would've drafted a QB and probably would've signed another one.

Pretty crazy stuff and I'm pretty disappointed in Luck. Only for bailing at the last minute though.

Crazy. If the dude knew weeks ago he wasn't going to play this year - get out of the freaking way. The team can get another guy.

Well Kaepernick shouldn't at this point. Hasn't played in years, he's medicore at best, and the attention just wouldn't be worth it.
