NFL Discussion (Official Thread)

Baltimore got the better Harbaugh, but by accident. They offered the job to Jason Garrett. He turned them down, then they hired Harbaugh.

I wouldn't credit Harbaugh as being especially good. I'm not saying he is a bad coach, but Baltimore has drafted extremely well & are very talented as a team. They can move the ball on any defense in the league, yet get stopped in the red zone more than they should. Lamar has potential to be much better than he has played this season, the Baltimore coaches just aren't getting him to that next level.

Deshaun Watson actually led the league in passing yards in the regular season. Of course, Houston was frequently losing and needed him to throw a ton, and he only eked out an 83-yard edge over Mahomes, who was rested Week 17.

He won a Super Bowl with almost an entirely different roster - not to mention Joe Flacco at QB - and here they are being contenders again. That doesn't just happen by drafting.

Kansas City hasn't covered the spread in 2 months and yet they're -10 this weekend vs Cleveland. I think the Chiefs will put up 40+, the better question is do the Browns get to 35? I am gonna guess no but it is hard to count out Baker the way he has played in some of these games down the stretch.

I like the Rams +7, but their offense has been alarmingly bad recently. The under is probably the better bet there.

Baltimore is a bad matchup for the Buffalo defense. That game should be another shootout and it's hard not to take the points with the Ravens in a toss up game.

The Saints have beaten the Bucs badly twice this season, so it is hard to side with Tampa given the prior results.

Chiefs have been prone to giving up the ground game. Browns have the horses and I expect a lot of motivation to punish them as undersogs. Hard to go against Mahomes because you have to be near perfect, but -10 is a lot. I want to Believeland.

Rams stink and won’t win with Goff at QB, let alone an injured version. Under seems safer but I’d lean Packers by a TD.

I think the Bucs have started figuring out their identity and Fournette will help move the ball just enough on the ground. Is Brees more washed up than Brady? I think so. Maybe Brady still gets some calls too. TB on the +Moneyline for some fun.

Bills/Ravens is a really good matchup. Complete toss-up imo, but I will personally be rooting for Buffalo. Gimme a Bills win at home in front of those zubaz-wearing, table-smashing freaks.

Who knows? It’s the NFL where lines are really sharp and anything can happen. I try to (mostly) stay away if I can.

this feels like the type of game with Stefanski goes “oh yea watch this its gonna be OU Texas Tech 2016” and forgets he has 2 of the best backs in the league and has Baker throw it 50 times...

see the Jets game..
