But if any part of the ball “breaks the plane of the goal line” its a TD... so it looked to me in this case like the ball woulda broken the plane ..

I don't think "the plane" should include the pylon, which is sitting entirely OOB. If you can't get the ball inside the pylon, you haven't crossed the goal line in-bounds.

I thought WFT was hasty in cutting Haskins before the season was over. After the season, sure. But with a limited ability to replace him, was a risky move. It looks like they could use him about now.

I have a soft spot for Haskins but he was a fucking idiot .. WFT had no real choice but to cut his ass after showing such stupidity after that one game ...

he’s still in bounds.. I agree with you ... but i just dont see where you put the ball without a special rule

I think they made him the scapegoat by benching him in the middle of his 2nd year with his 2nd offensive system/2nd OC/awful Oline/etc.

But him getting cut before the end of the season was entirely on him.

When he actually got to the pylon, it was straight-on ball hitting pylon out--of-bounds. I get that the rule allows it to be counted, I just don't like a different rule making it easier for a TD compared with any other play.
