A reminder about how much I dislike it that you can hit the pylon with the ball, not actually have the ball on the right side of the pylon, and get a TD. The pylon is positioned completely out of bounds. You should have to get the ball on the inside of the pylon to score, not just hit it anywhere.

Thing is. Where do you spot the ball if the pylon is OB? It’s on the goal line unless they put in a special rule

Wherever the ball crossed out of bounds. The ball has to be hovering over being out of bounds in this example.

But if any part of the ball “breaks the plane of the goal line” its a TD... so it looked to me in this case like the ball woulda broken the plane ..
