NFL Discussion (Official Thread)

So... they were the 6%?
#statistics

It's like that Russel Wilson CM where he completes a 25% pass or something. I'm sitting there... "neat, he just guessed right on a multiple choice answer AAMMAAAAZZIINNGG ?"

Was thinking it would be nice to see Haskins tonight. Then I’m watching Mack destroy Keenum and I think nah keep Dwayne on the bench....

Their OL is bad... they need to tank for some dudes.

Re: they can just void guarantees anytime going on 40m 2 months will see if they pay up !

He may be done playing; however, it doesn't sound like he isn't done suing them.

Antonio Brown poised to file NFL-record 9 grievances and appeals

Antonio Brown's battles will shift from social media to the legal variety.

Brown is the first player in NFL history poised to file nine grievances and appeals during the same time period, league sources told ESPN.

Brown's nine appeals and grievances will be a legal battle to try to recoup as much of the $61-plus million that he believes is owed to him.

The grievances and appeals involve the following issues and sums of money:

• Fine appeals with the Oakland Raiders: $215,000

• Salary guarantees with Oakland: $29 million

• Signing bonus with Raiders: $1 million

• Oakland's unpaid Week 1 salary: $860,000

• New England Patriots' salary guarantee: $1 million

• Patriots signing bonus: $9 million

• Patriots' unpaid Week 3 salary: $64,000

• Patriots' option year in 2020: $20 million

As if that wasn't enough, if the NFL disciplines Brown and suspends him -- which is well within the realm of possibility -- Brown could appeal that as well, which would make him the first player in NFL history to have nine different appeals generated from one season.

Sorry broseph. When you were so giddy about how you played the system to get on and then immediately off the Raiders.....to the point where you told everybody your plans......you kinda lost the right to get paid by them.
Maybe someone should tell him. How about you don't act like an unemployable little bitch and maybe you'd get paid the money in your contract...

Who makes the NFL schedules, and why did they give the Patriots the easiest schedule in the league? I mean, they play crap teams in 10 of 16 games. Usually the team that wins the SB gets a tough scheduling draw the following year. If only they were matched up against ... literally any other divisions than the ones that they got.

There are only 2 games on the schedule that matter where you finish...2. All the others are the same 2 other divisions your division plays (8), and your division games (6), which have been at least 5 free wins for the Pats seemingly forever. The idea of NFL scheduling parity, or tough teams playing tough teams, is somewhat of a myth (shocking I know).

So a game with the Texans instead of a Super Bowl rematch with the Rams was the choice.

I wonder how much ineptitude the Dolphins, Jets and Bills have to show before the NFL considers realignment. Those 3 franchises have combined for a grand total of 2 playoff game appearances and no wins since 2010. And one of those appearances ended a nearly 20-year drought for Buffalo.
