The Event looked OK...

But I absolutely HATE that skipping-around shit.

Person 1, Present
11 hours earlier...
23 hours earlier...
4 hours earlier..

person 2, Present...
2 weeks earlier...
11 hours earlier...

need a freaking desk calendar just to try to sort the shit out.

if it wasn't for that, I'd be OK with it.

it's like - WTF?

I agree about the jumping around. They jumped around so much that that I never got to the point where I cared about any of the characters. At least Lost kept the flashbacks to one character per episode so it wasn't all over the place. I wouldn't get too invested in this show since I doubt it will make it past the first 13 episodes and definitely not past the first season. If Flashforward can't make it past 1 season The Event doesn't have a chance. The Event felt like they took pieces out of a bunch of shows or movies and merged it into a new show.
At least the more flops that NBC comes out with the better chance Chuck will still be around. I just wish the whole Leno experiment last year wouldn't have killed Life since that was a great show.

This is all kinds of awesome.
There's a blog somewhere with videos about how the whole Jeffster thing came about and what it takes to put it together. Pretty interesting stuff, taking a guy who was not a singer in the least and having him "live the dream" just like the character is doing. The people working on the show seem to be the biggest fans of it... it shows in the final product.

The music video in the S3 finale was quite possibly the best bad music video I've ever seen.

EDIT:

BTW, Zachary Levi is sporting epic Beard in the video that Deety posted.

About to watch "Detroit 187". Saw "The Event" last night, didn't like the whole sci-fi twist.

Watched Detroit 187 and Running Wilde.

Detroit 187 - The plot(s) were okay, but I was more impressed with what looked like on-site locations for filming. If you can get part of Southern California to look like Downtown D-town then that is real Hollywood magic. Except I'm not sure what a bullet train is...because the People Mover is no bullet train.

Running Wilde - Has potential. I think the first episode was setting up the plot for the series. The girl from Felicity is hot, but I've always felt like she's talking to someone else in the room besides me or she's just reading a script. Not expecting Arrested Development, but maybe some guest appearances?

Mike & Molly - garbage. How many fat jokes and broken tables can we fit in 21 minutes of show?

Running Wilde - quite amusing. I think this one's a keeper.
