New NCAA proposal to impose severe penalties

Wasn't there already a REAL article posted on this a month or two ago?

I'll believe it when I see it. NCAA seems to pick and choose it's battles. If it's going to cost them money, they generally stay away from it. (Oregon and Auburn come to mind) Then you have the Miami case which is still in the air?

All three cases seem to be MUCH more severe than what occurred in Columbus, yet nothing's been addressed.

Then you have the recruiting practices of the SEC, which will only change if the NCAA steps in and makes them change it up. But again, it goes back to costing them money in the long run, so they probably won't bother.

Oh welcome to BP. :oh:

I will believe this why they do this to one of the moneymaking BCS schools. Penn State, Miami, Oregon, UNC, and possibly even auburn :tongue2:

I think Penn State's case will be more of a legal case, and won't be penalized by the NCAA harshly. Miami, Oregon, UNC, and Auburn on the other hand need to feel the wrath of the NCAA.
