Hey I never jumped into that fray.....

I know that post sounded like I was mad or something, I am not. It isn't hte cache, been down that road already, it acts like it is DNS but that wouldn't be the case sense other people can open it, maybe I need to log out and back into BP (probably haven't been totally logged out of here in 6 months or so).

edit; That didn't help either

Didn't sound mad. Just confused. I am as well.

It's odd behavior, and I'm struggling to think of what might be causing it.

One thing I'm focusing on right now is the page optimizer. But all it does is strip whitespace from what the forum sending you. That should speed things up, not slow them down or lock them up. It's also been successfully tested on dozens of other sites -- but that doesn't mean there can't be something unique to our configuration that's causing this.

Still, it's the only new feature that's standing between you and the site. Perhaps something conflicting between the PHP-level compression, and the whitespace removal? Eh, doesn't sound right.

I meant to imply that we were excluding you from participating in things, just not telling you we were doing it. :wink2:

Just went to gifts and got this:

The item you are trying to purchase is currently out of stock.

What the hell?

OK, let's start defining this as we go. It will take some time as the feature list is VERY large. Hopefully one of the folks that volunteered to write up a FAQ for the information will start gathering this info. into one entry for the FAQ section. Remember, this is an UNDOCUMENTED plug-in to the vBulletin software, so much of this information is yet unknown. If I'm wrong on something ... just take my money or something.

eStore

1) Points Options

Bank
Money deposited in the bank will acrue at 2% interest.

Summary: There is no cost to you to deposit money in the Bank. There is no 'tax' charged for this transaction and no expiration to the event (money deposited stays there indefinently). All Usergroups may access this feature (registered members, mods, sr. mods, admins, etc.)

Usergroups: All

Summary: This will allow you to attempt to steal some points from another user. 'Tax' IS charged for this transaction and no expiration to the event (money stolen or lost stays there indefinently). Success rate for theft is 15% and the max amount you can steal is 100,000. You lose 5 rep points for a successful theft and 3 rep points for an unuccessful attempt.

Buy Lottery Ticket

Usergroups: All
Max Tickets: Purchase a maximum of 5 tickets per daily or weekly lottery

Summary: Try your luck at the lottery to win some points/money. 'Tax' IS charged for this transaction and no expiration to the event (money won/lost there indefinently).

The current daily lottery pay out is 21,683.90 (starts at 10,000). I assume this number is adjusted as money is added/deleted from purchase of tickets.

The current weekly lottery pay out is 100,000 (starts at 100,000). I've seen no change in this number. Could be the low number of tickets sold or simply a 'capped' payout.

2) Misc. Options

Well, that's enough for now. Maybe someone else can continue, otherwise I'll return sometime latter to continue. Admins/sr. Mods, please feel free to edit the info. above as you see the need.

I think its the other way around.

I put all of my money into the bank and when I attempted to buy something at the store, it said I didn't have enough points/cash. I went back, took/withdrew "say" 500 and was able to purchase the item.

Well that could be ... I haven't purchased anything yet. BUT, I wasn't able to access any of the eStore options until I deposited money in the bank ... So I make the (un)educated guess. I'll change the wording.

Just to be sure. When you make a purchase, does the money come out of your bank total or your points total?

I think points total. If you want to purchase something that is 100 points, you need 100 points out of the bank to be able to make that purchase.

Are there any plans for a Vwelfare Department? I look at many other posters and I would have to say I am destitute with a paltry 100.08 points or whatever it is that I have. This is truly sad. And while I'm at it, I still don't understand how I went from a shitpot full of green and gold chicklets to two. Did I fall into disfavor with the gods or something?

P.S. Clarity, did you by chance get the two PM's I sent you?
