They got the wrong number on the targeting call. I don’t think that’s egregious, but who knows anymore? You launch your shoulder towards a guys head and you get what you get?

Interestingly we do get push easily on the QB sneaks.
That to me indicates our guys can get leverage....so why aren’t we getting leverage out of the power spread?
It’s twofold.
1. Nebby is selling out on the RB bc they know OSU wants to protect Fields from contact.
2. Beyond selling out on Nebby, they’re playing DT’s slightly over, and just destroying interior gaps.
IMO, all it takes is a few Fields keeps and it loosens the middle right up as they have to protect the edge.
Even Dobbins struggled at times with Haskins at QB for same reasons. But Haskins wasn’t nearly the runner.

Might be time to recalibrate expectations for the 2020 season.
I think many thought this was '19 with a slightly worse D but much better passing attack .
Just not as simple as that and it takes time for these young guys to get acclimated and units to gel.
I get the doom but its early.

Refs are never consistent. This should be overturned, not targeting if the right call is made.
