Nebraska Cornhuskers (corn)

If this is true that’s…bad too drunk for important visits lol

Saw this on another site a few days ago, and didn’t post as it seemed to be nothing more than a rumor. But if true, what an amazingly bad look

Urban definitely not toning down the enthusiasm for him to be their next coach on the set lol
And why would he, he hasn’t been seen in a positive light as a HC in a while. He’s been the laughingstock of football for a year. When one of the top Halloween costumes was him behind a girl, he became more of a joke than a legendary HC

OK, whatever. If Nebraska doesn't back the Brinks truck up to entice Meyer, they're nuts.
They’ll definitely back the Brinks truck up, but it doesn’t mean that he’ll take it. At this stage of his career, can pick almost any program in the country and they’d take him(except Bama, UGA and OSU). And I’m sure he’d pick a school with a fertile recruiting base, so why in the heck would he choose Corn? And also, I don’t think Urban has the stomach for the NIL game

Urban Meyer, Nebraska football have 'no contact,' ex-Ohio State coach expected to remain at FOX: report

Urban Meyer and Nebraska football have had "no contact" in the Huskers' coaching search and the FOX Sports analyst is expected to remain with the network, according to a report Sunday by Pete Thamel. Meyer, 58, is not expected to pursue coaching opportunities.

“Source: There’s been no contact between Nebraska and Urban Meyer,” Thamel wrote on Twitter. “He’s expected to remain at FOX and not pursue coaching opportunities.”

Urban does have some good things to say about Corn though:

"I've been telling you guys all week, this is the most unique place in college football," Meyer said on Big Noon Kickoff."

"The fanbase is unbelievable. Regardless of the score, regardless of their record, they’re here. One time I came and got in a golf cart and drove around just to see the fanbase. You’re going to see it today. Before you get an identity, you have to go back. I’m not sure people realize, Nebraska was the epicenter of player development.

"In 1969, they hired the first strength coach in college football history. After that hire, they changed college football and for 33 straight years, they won nine or more games. This has to go back to the epicenter of player development."

Nebraska defensive coordinator Erik Chinander fired after 35-point loss to Oklahoma

Nebraska fired defensive coordinator Erik Chinander on Sunday, a day after his unit allowed 49 points and 580 yards in a 49-14 loss to Oklahoma.

Chinander had overseen the Cornhuskers' defense since 2018 after arriving with Scott Frost from UCF. Nebraska fired Frost on Sept. 11. Interim head coach Mickey Joseph made the change and appointed special teams coordinator Bill Busch as the team's new defensive playcaller.

"We appreciate Erik and the work and dedication he has given to our football program," Joseph said in a statement. "At this time, I feel it is in the best interest of the Nebraska football program to take the leadership of the defense in another direction and decided Bill Busch will take over as defensive coordinator."

I honestly hadn’t heard Chinander’s name since he was a player at Iowa 20 years ago. Legit didn’t know he was Nebraskas DC for the past five years.

Apparently, neither did he.

Look, y'all...this is a toxic situation in these parts right now. Everybody is talking about how Frost is sitting on his back deck at the crib tankin it up.

A buddy of mine said the following to me just last week:

"I think Frost had some unfaithfulness as well. Good gossip, my wife's best friend has a house on the lake that Frost has his lake house and she said there were times there were women over there that wasn't his wife when he was there and his wife wasn't....just sayin..lol"

Just sayin': The quarterback that transferred out of Corn (to historically, the worst team in the BIG XII) had 5 TDs (4 rushing and 1 passing) and 382 yards offense (234 passing and 148 rushing) in a road win over Oklahoma this week. The quarterback that transferred into Corn had 1 TD passing and 99 yards offense (129 passing and -30 rushing) in a home loss to Oklahoma last week.
