Nebraska Cornhuskers (corn)

Disagree. A Hail Mary answered is a beautiful way to win a game. OSU's won over a hundred games this century, but I'll carry the plays like Holy Buckeye vs Purdue in 2002 and Braxton's lob against Wisconsin in 2011 to my grave. The rest are great, but they're typically reduced to just noise in my memory over time.

I can remember Holy Buckeye like it happened last night.
Holy Buckeye was not a hail mary. There was over a minute left in the game, it was only 37 yards and it was a direct pass to Jenkins. Krenzel didn't just throw it up and hope somebody caught it. They could have just run the ball for 1 yard and gotten a new set of downs. It was a great play, but not a hail mary.

It may not have been a hail mary, but I sure as pumpkin said "holy shit" about a bajillion times during the flight of the ball and after Jenkins caught it.

That is, to this day, still my favorite play of all-time. The 2002 was not a flashy offense in any way. It was a classic "grind it out" offense. That play call was just so surprising and uncharacteristic...and ballsy. That it ended up saving a perfect, national title season is icing on the cake. That was the moment that I knew that team and season was going to be special.

I don't think the word flashy will ever apply to any Ohio State offense during the Tressel era.

Okay, so I never heard about this happening, but a friend of mine was telling me about this.

This was pretty classless, and I'd think a graduate of The Ohio State University would have caught this and told his guys not to screw around here.

Could this year be Karma for Bo, messing with the 'Football Gods'?

"Thou shalt not trample on the traditions of an opponent."

2005 (late in the season), 2006, and 2010 had their moments. Fans often forget that. In fact, 2010 is one of the best offenses in school history in most every major category.

I understand your point. However, Ohio State hasn't been on the cutting edge of "flash" when it comes to offense until the current staff came to town.
