Florida has some of the most restrictive laws when it comes to pot, especially down here on the tip of America's penis. I live about 6 miles away from FAU. The State Legislature is trying to block another referendum to be placed on the ballot in a couple weeks for medical MJ, even though something north of 60% of the citizens want it (we don't count snow birds as citizens of the State, which are mostly the ones crying foul). Their reasoning is that they don't want to go back to the Cocaine Cowboy days when the coast line from Ft Meyers around the the Keys and up to Boyton Beach was where a majority of the coke and pot in the 70's and 80's came into the country.

It is what happens when you live around a bunch of out of touch old farts.
