Cunningham: "That wasn't a late hit on Eric Martin."

A couple years ago he villified the guy.

I guess I'm not really sure what you're getting at here. Cunningham shouldn't be singing the praises of a player who's playing well today because he, in your words, "vilified" Martin a few years back for calling a spade a spade when it comes to cheap shots?

To all the Buckeye Fans:

On behalf of all Nebraska fans, I would like to apologize for that craptastic game. Irregardless of the outcome.

It is good to see that Rex Burkhead looks healthy once again. I hope he stays that way for the rest of the year.

All that being said - we need your help tomorrow to give us the full share of the divisional championship, and I know you won't let us down.

Also - in a week's time, we'll definately need your help to bend Bucky over once again.

Sincerely,

AlexHortdog95

"That's a bad hit. He was targeting a defenseless player."
- Ed Cunningham

As the player comes right at him. The next week, he was at it again when the Huskers were against Missouri:

"And this should be a penalty against Osborne."

Ed Cunningham thinks that because he played ref for a little while he's the Mike Pereira of the NCAA.

You want a dirty hit? Here's 'dirty'

Look, I'm positive we aren't going to agree on whether the hits were dirty, but I don't think it's totally off the wall that Cunningham thought so--Martin flat out teed off on a guy who was neither looking nor prepared to get hit. That's the kind of play that could seriously hurt someone, and I'd think that Martin would know better.

The Osborne play was closer, but he did appear to lead with his helmet.

In any event, I don't think it's ridiculous what Cunningham said.

True, true, and you're correct when you say we wouldn't agree. With that being said, I taught the kids I coached to be aware until the whistle blew. The kid wasn't paying attention, and got himself peeled off.

I am probably over-reacting to Cunningham, cause for the entire '10 season, week after week, we had to listen to him whine about how dirty and undisiplined our team was. It's just funny to hear him singing praises of a team he beat up so much a couple years ago.
